GUJCOST Sets World Record with Largest Simultaneous Virtual STEM Quiz for School Students

The Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), functioning under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, has achieved a remarkable World Record for the Largest Simultaneous Participation of School Students in a Virtual STEM Quiz. Organized at Gujarat Science City, the national-level initiative witnessed an astounding 15,01,249 registrations, making it one of the largest STEM education campaigns ever conducted in India.

The record-breaking virtual quiz was designed to foster curiosity and strengthen students’ understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through an engaging and interactive platform. Bringing together school students from across the country, the initiative promoted scientific awareness while encouraging participants to apply classroom concepts to real-world situations.

Beyond setting a world record, the programme aimed to cultivate critical thinking, scientific reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and innovation among young learners. By leveraging digital technology to reach students on a massive scale, GUJCOST reinforced its commitment to nurturing the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators.
