Odoo India Private Limited has achieved a remarkable World Record for the Maximum Participation in an Offline Recruitment Hackathon. The record-setting event brought together 911 participants from across the globe at the Odoo India Headquarters for an intense 24-hour non-stop coding challenge, making it the largest offline recruitment hackathon of its kind.
The competition began with 354 teams and 1,163 finalists who were invited to participate. Contestants were challenged with surprise coding problems, revealed only at the start of the hackathon, testing their programming expertise, problem-solving abilities, creativity, and teamwork under real-world conditions.
The unique recruitment initiative served as a platform to identify exceptional software development talent while promoting skill development, innovation, inclusivity, and global collaboration. Participants who excelled in the challenge were awarded offer letters to join Odoo’s developer team, making the event a pioneering blend of competitive coding and direct talent acquisition.
