American record-breaker David Rush added another unusual achievement to his long list of world-record titles after assembling a 12-person team for a T-shirt folding relay during a corporate team-building trip to Las Vegas. The team consisted of Rush, 10 of his coworkers, and Las Vegas mentalist John Rotellini, who had delivered a keynote presentation to the group the previous day.
The challenge required all 12 participants to fold T-shirts one after another in relay format while meeting strict technical standards. The previous benchmark stood at 2 minutes 24 seconds, meaning the team had to combine speed with accuracy throughout the attempt. A poorly folded shirt, an early start, or any other technical mistake could invalidate the entire run.
Rush said the team needed 10 attempts before successfully completing a clean record-breaking performance. Several earlier attempts ended in disqualification after participants rushed their folds or moved before their turn had officially begun.
Eventually, the team completed the challenge in 2 minutes 19.65 seconds, beating the previous record by more than four seconds. Rush described the early attempts as a lesson in how difficult it was to maintain both speed and precision under pressure. Known for his extraordinary record-breaking career, David Rush has held more than 200 concurrent world-record titles, with achievements ranging from juggling and balancing challenges to speed, endurance, and team-based feats.
The T-shirt folding relay adds another distinctive achievement to his growing record collection and highlights how teamwork, coordination, patience, and precision can turn even an everyday task into a world-record performance.
