Spanish motorsports star Toni Bou has achieved another remarkable Guinness World Records title, this time at a landmark carrying his own name.
Bou completed 53 consecutive barrel jumps on a motorcycle using only the rear wheel, setting the official record for the most consecutive barrels jumped on a motorcycle (rear wheel only). Guinness World Records confirms the achievement took place in Piera, Barcelona, Spain.
The location made the achievement particularly special. Bou performed the stunt around the Toni Bou Roundabout, a landmark in his hometown created in recognition of his outstanding motorsport career. Barrels were positioned in a ring around the roundabout, requiring Bou to repeatedly hop his motorcycle from one to another while keeping the front wheel off the ground. He successfully negotiated 53 barrels, demonstrating extraordinary balance, precision and motorcycle control.
Bou had to maintain control entirely on the motorcycle’s rear wheel while jumping from barrel to barrel without breaking the sequence. Every landing required precise positioning before he could launch himself toward the next obstacle, making balance and concentration crucial throughout the attempt. The successful 53-jump performance earned him another place in the record books.
Bou is internationally renowned as one of motorcycle trials’ most accomplished competitors, and his latest world record further showcases the technical skill that has defined his career. Performing the stunt in his hometown — and at a roundabout named in his honour — added a symbolic dimension to the achievement.
