Mar Baselios Dental College has achieved a significant milestone by setting the record for the “Maximum Complete Denture Treatment Procedure and Insertion Performed by an Institution in a Day,” successfully completing 141 complete denture deliveries in a single day.
The achievement was accomplished through a coordinated effort involving the college’s Prosthodontics teaching faculty, other teaching faculty, postgraduate students, interns, students and alumni, with support from dental technicians. The record-setting initiative was conducted under ‘Susmitham,’ a community outreach programme of the Department of Prosthodontics, combining dental education, teamwork and community service on a large scale.
Completing 141 denture deliveries within a single day required extensive coordination among faculty members, students, alumni and technical staff. The multidisciplinary team worked together to carry out the complete denture treatment procedures and successfully deliver the dentures to beneficiaries as part of the Susmitham initiative. The achievement highlights the institution’s ability to mobilise its academic and clinical resources for a large-scale community-focused dental programme.
