Sree Mookambika Cancer Centre (SMCC), a unit of Sree Mookambika Institute of Medical Sciences, has set the record for the “Largest Breast Cancer Awareness Drive by an Educational Institution,” engaging a total of 10,670 participants in a large-scale breast cancer awareness initiative.
The campaign was organised by the institution at Padanilam, Kulasekharam, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, with a strong focus on promoting awareness about breast cancer prevention, screening and the importance of early detection.
A total of 10,670 participants were engaged during the record-setting drive, making it a significant community health awareness initiative undertaken by an educational institution. The campaign incorporated multiple approaches to reach and educate participants, including awareness programmes, breast cancer screening initiatives, digital outreach and community participation.
