Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland has another reason to smile as the prolific striker celebrates an extraordinary collection of world-record achievements ahead of the new Premier League season.
Haaland was presented with a fresh batch of World Records certificates at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium, marking some of the exceptional feats he has accomplished during his remarkable career.
The Norwegian striker has rewritten Premier League scoring history since joining Manchester City. In his debut 2022–23 Premier League season, Haaland scored an incredible 36 goals, setting the record for the most goals by a player in a 38-game Premier League season. He also holds the record for the most goals in a debut Premier League season.
His record-breaking journey did not stop there. In December 2025, Haaland became the fastest player to score 100 English Premier League goals, reaching the landmark in just 111 matches and comfortably surpassing Alan Shearer’s previous benchmark of 124 games.
Haaland has also earned recognition for his extraordinary scoring efficiency. His 36 goals in 35 Premier League appearances during the campaign gave him a strike rate of 1.02 goals per game, another World Records achievement for a Premier League Golden Boot winner.
Still only 26, Haaland has already established himself as one of the most prolific goalscorers of his generation. His collection of world records reflects not only his finishing ability but also the remarkable speed with which he has reached milestones that took many legendary footballers considerably longer to achieve.
And judging by the pride on Haaland’s face as he admired his certificates at the Etihad Stadium, these records clearly mean something special to him.
