Football freestyle sensation Hamed Ali Al Shehhi has added another remarkable achievement to his collection of World Records titles, this time combining the skills of football and basketball in an extraordinary trick shot.
The 24-year-old UAE athlete achieved the record for the farthest backheel kick of a basketball into a basket on 14 March in Ras Al Khaimah, successfully sending the ball an incredible 12 metres (39.37 ft) before it landed in the basket.
While generating enough power to cover the distance was challenging, Al Shehhi said accuracy proved to be one of the biggest obstacles. The unusual feat required him to precisely control the direction and strength of a backwards kick without having a conventional view of the target.
Al Shehhi has been developing his football skills since childhood and has shared videos of his freestyle abilities on social media. His passion and dedication have already earned him multiple record titles, with his latest achievement showcasing his ability to transform traditional football techniques into creative sporting challenges.
