A fearless group of adventurers has achieved an extraordinary World Record by completing a slackline walk suspended above Angel Falls (Kerepakupai Merú), the world’s tallest waterfall.
More than 1,000 metres above the ground, the athletes balanced their way across a highline positioned over the spectacular natural landmark in eastern Venezuela. Their breathtaking feat established the record for the highest highline over a waterfall.
Angel Falls, also known as Salto Ángel, provided a dramatic setting for the challenge. Suspended at an extreme height, the adventurers faced a demanding combination of balance, concentration, physical control, and exposure to the elements while crossing the line.
The achievement brought together extreme adventure and one of the planet’s most spectacular natural wonders, demonstrating the remarkable skill and courage required to perform highlining in such challenging conditions.
With their successful crossing above Angel Falls, the adventurers have added an extraordinary new milestone to the world of highlining and extreme sports.
