Keshav Prasad Muliya of Muliya Gold & Diamonds and Dr Anil S. Baipadithaya have jointly achieved a world record after completing a continuous 2,075-km car journey from Delhi to Bengaluru in approximately 29 hours.
The duo undertook the challenging expedition in a Land Rover Defender under the record category “Longest Incessant Journey by Car in a Single Country.”
The record journey began from India Gate in New Delhi at 5:50 AM. After travelling continuously across multiple states, the team reached Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru at 10:51 AM.
They completed the 2,075-km journey in approximately 29 hours and one minute, successfully reaching their destination. The endurance drive required careful planning, concentration and coordination as the participants travelled continuously for more than a day.
The achievement highlights the demanding nature of long-distance road travel across India. For perspective, a Delhi-to-Bengaluru journey by Rajdhani Express generally takes considerably longer, although rail and road journeys follow different routes and operate under different conditions. The record attempt combined endurance driving with the challenge of covering a substantial distance within a continuous journey.
The achievement was officially certified by the World Records. Dr Manish Vishnoi, Asia head of the organisation, confirmed the recognition of the record. The successful expedition added a major milestone to the participants’ passion for long-distance driving.
Speaking about the achievement, Keshav Prasad Muliya said driving had been a long-standing passion and that the journey was undertaken with the dream of transforming that interest into a challenging and memorable accomplishment. By completing 2,075 kilometres from Delhi to Bengaluru in around 29 hours, Muliya and Dr Baipadithaya turned their passion for driving into a record-setting endurance journey.
