Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation Leads Record-Breaking Cleanliness Initiative Across 100 Wards

The Municipal Corporation of Ghaziabad (GMC) has achieved a remarkable World Record for the Maximum Participation in a Cleaning Drive in One Hour. Organized in support of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat (Clean India) Mission, the campaign witnessed an extraordinary 15,156 participants joining hands across 100 wards from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM under the theme “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath – Swachhata Hi Seva Hai.”

The large-scale cleanliness initiative brought together municipal employees, students, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), resident groups, and citizens, all working collectively to clean public spaces and promote environmental responsibility. The synchronized effort demonstrated the power of community participation in creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable urban environments.

The campaign aimed to strengthen public awareness about sanitation, civic responsibility, and environmental conservation while encouraging citizens to actively contribute to maintaining clean surroundings. By mobilizing thousands of volunteers within a single hour, the initiative reinforced the message that collective action is essential for achieving lasting cleanliness and sustainable development.
