TVS Motor Company Sets Two World Records with Historic TVS XL100 Himalayan Expedition

Demonstrating the remarkable capability, endurance, and reliability of its iconic TVS XL100, TVS Motor Company has achieved two World Records through an extraordinary solo expedition undertaken by rider Subrata Boral across some of the world’s most challenging mountain terrains.

The first record, “First 100cc Petrol Two-Wheeler to Reach the Highest Motorable Road by a Solo Rider,” was accomplished as Subrata Boral rode the TVS XL100 on a 3,125-kilometre journey beginning from Gulmarg, traversing Srinagar, Kargil, Zoji La, Umling La, and returning via Srinagar before concluding in Jammu. By successfully reaching Umling La, the world’s highest motorable road, the TVS XL100 became the first 100cc petrol two-wheeler to achieve this feat through a solo expedition.

In addition, the expedition earned a second World Record for the “Highest Mountain Passes Covered on a 100cc Two-Wheeler by a Solo Rider.” During the journey, the rider successfully crossed some of the world’s most demanding high-altitude passes, including Zoji La, Khardung La, Chang La, Rezang La, and Umling La, showcasing exceptional endurance, riding skill, and the engineering excellence of the TVS XL100.
