Venkat, St Ann’s & Venus Group of Institutions created history by earning a World Records title for the most people dressed as Mahatma Gandhi. The remarkable event, held in Bengaluru, Karnataka, brought together 4,605 young children dressed as the Father of the Nation, paying a heartfelt tribute to his enduring legacy of peace, truth, and non-violence.
The record-breaking gathering was organized to commemorate the 146th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Thousands of children appeared in Gandhi’s iconic attire, wearing the traditional dhoti and shawl, along with round spectacles, bald caps, false moustaches, and carrying bamboo walking sticks, creating a powerful visual tribute to one of the world’s greatest leaders.
Beyond achieving a world record, the event aimed to educate young minds about Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals and inspire them to embrace values of simplicity, unity, compassion, and non-violence. The initiative reflected the institutions’ commitment to preserving India’s rich cultural heritage while encouraging students to learn from the nation’s history.
