The Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, has achieved a remarkable World Record for the Maximum People Participating in the Ghoomar Festival at Multiple Locations. The grand cultural celebration brought together 6,100 women who performed the iconic Ghoomar, one of Rajasthan’s most celebrated folk dances, across seven cities in a synchronized statewide event.
The record-setting festival was organized as part of a unique initiative to preserve and promote Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage while encouraging widespread public participation. By hosting the event simultaneously at multiple locations, the Department of Tourism showcased the vibrancy, elegance, and enduring legacy of Ghoomar, a traditional dance that reflects the state’s royal heritage and cultural identity.
